Disability Awareness Training

The Arc has developed a (dis)Ability Awareness Training program for students in elementary schools. It provides factual information at an age appropriate level and also helpful hints to students on how to be friends with their peers who have disabilities. This program is coordinated by a retired elementary teacher with over thirty years of experience. Sessions can be scheduled by contacting peggy@thearcoflancasterco.org or calling the Arc 394-5251.

While there is no charge for this service, we do encourage a donation to the Arc of Lancaster County. Most appreciated are student classroom projects such as Pennies for People, Walk for the Arc, Class Bake Sale, etc.
